I thought I'd seen everything thing but I have an e-check payment sent on the 11th that has failed, been declined, re-sent, and failed again, and now it is expected to clear November 5th.

Its like the e-check payment that will not end.

I explained to this newbie to use his atm card as a credit card to avoid these delays and he racked up and paid for another dozen transactions since but mine is still in limbo.

That's interesting. I just had one declined; PP waited a week or so and tried it again. When it was declined the second time, PayPal canceled the transaction. That was the first time I had one that was declined a second time, so I figured they only tried twice.

It says only the recipient can cancel it, so I think I would in your case. If it's a high dollar amount, it might be worth waiting for, and maybe that's why they keep trying? Mine was only $9.49.

Hi,

Giving them a chance to re-send payment first. Enough time has elapsed to file and NPB but will offer them a chance to cancel first.

This is really a very self serving problem created by paypal.

I filed for the UPI in my case and the buyer never responded--never had responded from the day he clicked on the item to buy it. It was closed and I got my FVF back. I assume he got a strike, although I understand that the strikes are reversed fairly often. I blocked him and went on with life!

Mine was NARU'd before I got a chance to file.

Apparently I wasn't the only one waiting for payment.
